Our clients found a lush three-quarter acre lot, but the existing home was not going to work for their family of four. The lot shape and several protected mature oak trees made a new build impractical, so a remodel approach was taken to reimagine the structure. Cladding the home in Western Red Cedar allows this large structure to blend into its surroundings, while the vertical orientation calls attention to the shape of the building along with the placement of the door and window punctures which frame views of the treescapes around the property. This project is currently in construction and slated to finish in 2024.
