Our client purchased this home with only 18 months to design, permit, and construct a substantial remodel and addition for her family. The low-slung ranch needed light and volume, so we lofted the common spaces, added skylights, larger doors and windows to flood the home with light. Exterior eaves were brought in and walls extended with parapets. We also added a pool and guest house in the rear. Stone walls, pavers, and scupper mixed with steel and wood trellis detailing further enhance the blend of old and new, creating a harmonious new vernacular amongst the previously disparate components.
