This double-wide trailer is situated in Malibu’s Paradise Cove, which our clients purchased as a weekend getaway. By carefully utilizing the strict building regulations, we were able to add 500 SF and reconfigure the entrance of the small home. The master bedroom was sunken to grade level with direct access to the rear yard featuring a cedar soaking tub nestled in the back. Sho Sugi Ban Cedar was selected to clad the exterior along with all new Douglas Fir doors and windows, giving the structure a refined design language and helping to conceal the drawbacks of trailer architecture.
